Woodbridge Library is currently closed for renovations until Spring of 2025. This project will expand the library space, add more natural light, and increase accessibility. During this time, we will continue to serve the community from nearby VPL locations and the Father E. Bulfon Community Centre.
This 9,600 square feet library is located in the heart of historic Woodbridge next to the Market Lane shopping concourse. The library has been renovated over the years to meet the needs of the evolving community, with dedicated children's area, reading lounge, meeting spaces and quiet study area. Woodbridge Library also participates in the Annual Christmas in the Village and has a sizeable Italian collection.
Free outdoor parking is available.

Vaughan Public Libraries respectfully acknowledges that our libraries were built upon the Territory and Treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation per the Toronto Purchase agreement or Treaty 13.
We also recognize we are situated in the traditional territory of the Huron-Wendat and the Haudenosaunee who occupied this land before the arrival of European settlers.
The City of Vaughan is currently home to many First Nations, Inuit and Métis people. We acknowledge their contributions to the life and prosperity of this land.
As representatives of the people of the City of Vaughan, we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and live in this territory.
We acknowledge we must do more to learn about the history of this land so that we can better understand our roles as residents, neighbours, and caretakers of this City.
In 1971, the Village of Woodbridge officially became part of the Town of Vaughan, and the Woodbridge Library Board joined with the Vaughan Public Library Board to become part of a larger system of libraries. The Woodbridge Public Library operated out of a former municipal building, but after 10 years it was time to move to a new location to serve the fast-growing population.
In 1981, former Library Board Chair, Isabel Little, lead a committee to build the current Woodbridge Public Library building on Woodbridge Ave. Built into an existing historic building, this was quite a process and resulted in the lovely, bright, window-filled building we have today. This library has served the community well for the past 50 years.
Visit Woodbridge Library to enjoy our wonderful collection and be a part of its continuing history.
